Vaccinated children can avoid wearing masks at summer camp: CDC

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued new COVID-19 guidelines for camps.

The guidelines stated that fully vaccinated staff and campers can avoid wearing a mask, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, territorial regulations or where it is a business or workplace policy.

More than 3.94 million children have tested positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic began, as per the American Academy of Pediatrics. However, severe illness is uncommon among children. The CDC still stated that children can contract the infection and transmit it to others. Therefore, taking precautions is good and it is important to get vaccinated. The guidelines added that camps can be support the staff or campers who wish to continue wearing a mask... (CNN, May 28, 2021)
